Hello to my English speaking friends
welcome to the corner of my website which is reaching out to you in your language. Some of you I know personally since a long time and with others I am connected on social media since a while or maybe just since yesterday. I am not very actively on Facebook anymore, because the politics are getting toxic. So if you like to keep in touch, please sign up for my newsletter and send me your informations: Where can I find YOU?
I have revived my old flickr account and I must say I like this quiet, remote corner of the internet. You can find it at the bottom of this page.
I am quite passionate about exchanging about our practice of contemplative photography,

Miksang Class - let’s meet on the 26th of each month
We are starting with the cycle 26th of April, Mai, June, July 2025.
The times will mostly good for people in Europe and Africa.
It is a class for beginners and aswell people who want to re-connect with the practice of contemplative photography.
Because I realise that we all have a number of regular appointments in our daily lives, I chose a fixed day each month. I like to encourage a slow process, to give you time to savour the exercises and instructions. If you can't be there in one of the meetings… my new website offers opportunities to provide you with the necessary instructions.
If you love bringing meditation in your everyday life, if you are passionate about exploring your senses and if you like to express yourself effortlessly - this is a good place to be.

„Either you look and see beyond language - as first perception
- or you see the world through the filter of your thoughts“
My name is Hiltrud Enders, I am living in Düsseldorf, Germany. What I love most about the practice of contemplative photography is, that non-verbal, visual, sensual perceptions are waking me up to my everyday life.
Miksang is a Tibetan word meaning good or purified eye. Miksang training is a learning field for clear vision. I trained with Michael Wood at the Miksang Institute for Contemplative Photography. The study, and with it the joy of playing, began during a rainy week in May 2006 when I saw colours and reflections everywhere. Since then I have had my camera with me every day and have been a Miksang trainer since 2012, offering workshops that build on each other and regular practice days as an opportunity for participants to deepen their experience and exchange ideas in the group.
I am particularly enthusiastic about the fact that this training provides access to creativity and expression for EVERYONE. The perception exercises and photo tasks can change the work of photographers or give beginners a good introduction. The basis is not talent or technical finesse. Rather, we take off this heavy rucksack full of design guidelines. We are moving away from judgements. The experience is rather: What opens up when I relax and really look?
Perhaps you should also know that I am an architect, think sustainably, like handwriting and my city, where I have museums and gardens and the river close together.
